This recipe sounds right up our alley. 1. if it's cooked in the crock-pot, I'm a happy gal. 2. Larry and I both like beans. (which reminds me, I think we need to have chili this week for dinner). I came upon this recipe for Spicy Tex-Mex Beans. It sounds yummy! The only thing I might change is how much red pepper flakes are in the dish. I'm a bit of a wuss when ...

No, this is not one of those Wheel of Fortune Before and After puzzles. It is what Dalton and I had for dinner tonight. I had read about grilled pizza before, but had never gotten to try it. Oh boy was it good. The crust was chewy (which I like) on the inside but crisp on the outside. I know that if I had rolled the crust out thinner, the entire crust would have been ...

Ok, I promise, this will be the last food post today. But I found a very cool blog about how to cook various things. This particular post is about cooking pinto beans. The thing that is so cool is that this actually explains how to cook any dried beans. I told you about my love of black beans...but I haven't actually cooked black beans from scratch. Maybe I will try i...

Apparently I'm all about cooking today. I'm making a pork loin at home right now -- it's in the crock pot getting all yummy. When I get home I'm going to take the pork out, shred it, then add some Applesauce BBQ sauce. The recipe came from here. I am sitting here dreaming of how amazing my house must smell right now. And I know for a fact that it will smell yummy...

Do you like soup year round? Some people swear by a nice cold soup in the summer. I must admit I am not one of those people. I like chunky soups and stews. I also like to have my soups and stews with something to dunk into it. Grilled cheese sandwiches are my favorite dunkers, but I'll take a chunk of bread too.
My soup preferences aside, I think I've found a chilled soup that sounds pret...

About a year ago I started making sliders (mini-hamburgers) for meals. We don't have them often, but we think my recipe is pretty good. My recipe is based off a few different recipes I have found across the internet, but the majority of the recipes I looked up for this came from Food Network. So here you go, in case you want a new meal to make your families.Ingredients:1.5 ...
